I discovered metal in 2005, after working for many years with fibers and clay.  My experiences with these pliable media led me to expect metal to bend, curl, fold, and otherwise shape itself in "soft" ways.  This, I have learned, takes some doing – and lots of fun tools!

I am inspired by the natural world I see around me every day: grandmotherly live oak trees, swinging Spanish moss, and the birds and animals who make their homes in the countryside near my house and shop.  I work mainly in silver, sometimes incorporating stones, pearls, and gold.
